The Red Deer River Watershed Alliance is pleased to welcome author Dale Leckie to our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Kerry Wood Nature Centre from 2:30 pm -5:30 pm.

Allow Dale to guide you to some of the Red Deer River’s most scenic sites. From Dry Island Buffalo Jump to Dinosaur Provincial park, Leckie tells the intriguing story exposed along the Red Deer River banks, including dinosaur bone-beds, dinosaur extinctions, volcanic eruptions, and modern cottonwood poplar forests. Using eye-catching illustrations and photographs, Leckie blends storytelling with science, incorporating natural landscape beauty with art and history.

His book, The Scenic Geology of Alberta gives you what you need to discover the spectacular landforms of Alberta along the Red Deer River and across the province.
