You are invited to the Red Deer River Watershed Alliance’s Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, June 15th from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. This event is free to attend and will be held via Zoom.
The meeting will feature a keynote presentation from Dr. Monica Emelko (University of Waterloo) and Dr. Uldis Silins (University of Alberta), focused on the effects of landscape disturbances on Alberta’s water supplies and strategies for source water protection. This will be followed by the Annual General Meeting business, featuring an update from the RDRWA, Board elections, and plans for 2021/22.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
This will be about 30 minutes, covering reports from Board Chair Kim Good and Conservation Director Mary Jane Block, along with an overview of the approved Financial Report.
Immediately following the business meeting, we invite you to join us for a special presentation on Native Pollinators of Alberta.
Sydney Worthy is a recent MSc graduate from the University of Alberta. She studied Alberta’s native pollinators and the effects that managed honey bees have on their native plant-pollinator network interactions.
Sydney developed a passion for native bees and now works with the Alberta Native Bee Council as a member and identification taxonomist.
