The Red Deer River Watershed Alliance is dedicated to building healthy relationships between the community and the Red Deer River Watershed. We raise public awareness about land and water issues and stewardship options within the watershed through a variety of education and outreach programs.
The RDRWA strives to be a “go-to” resource for partners to learn about the watershed and specific actions that can be taken to support watershed health. We work with people of all ages and with different sectors. Examples of our work include:
Events: Join us for our Spring Forum, Fall Forum, and other special events throughout the year. These events are a great place to hear the latest updates on science, policy, and stewardship, while bringing the community together.
Presentations: We give presentations to municipalities, stewardship groups, post-secondary institutions, schools, industry associations, and more. Please reach out if your or your organization would like to learn more about watersheds.
Youth Programs: We offer a Grade 5 school program focused on teaching students about wetland ecosystems, and you can find us at various community events throughout the year.
