Darian has been collaborating with the Medicine River Watershed Society (MRWS) to collect water samples from the Medicine River and its tributaries. Since the start of program in early Spring, Darian and MRWS volunteers have been collecting water samples and testing water quality on six separate occasions. Darian’s testing focuses on parameters including: pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, phosphate, ammonia, and chloride. The objective of this program is to evaluate the overall condition of the Medicine River. By conducting these tests, it becomes possible to assess the river’s health and detect any potential threats to the receiving aquatic environment.
