The Red Deer River Watershed Alliance bids a fond farewell to outgoing Executive Director, Josée Méthot, who will be moving on from the RDRWA as of March 30th to accept a new position.
Josée started with the RDRWA in 2014 as the Watershed Planning Manager and led the development of Blueprint: An Integrated Watershed Management Plan for the Red Deer River Watershed (Phase One). During her time with the RDRWA, Josée worked on many scientific and policy files, and built relationships with key partners, through the Project Blue Thumb social lab and regular engagement activities.
As Executive Director, Josée has brought tremendous leadership and a wealth of technical knowledge to the organization. Josée has built strong relationships with our external stakeholders, staff, the Board of Directors, and committees. Recent project highlights include the RDRWA documentary Source Waters: The Rivers that Shape Us and riparian mapping and engagement projects in seven sub-watersheds, among others.
On behalf of the staff and the Board, we thank Josée for her dedicated work and wish her well in this next chapter!
