Give the Gift of a Healthy Watershed This Holiday Season

This holiday season, with your help we can make a real difference for rivers, lands, and communities in central Alberta.

The Red Deer River Watershed Alliance has been an integral part of the community since 2006. As your local Watershed Planning and Advisory Council, we are proud of the work that we have done in 2021 to advance watershed issues in central Alberta. During these unprecedented times, the RDRWA has continued to serve as a trusted resource for our partners and members, and to act as a forum for community members to learn and connect. We also reached new audiences (including you!) through our virtual forums and AGM, and we expanded our visual communications, creating a new series of short videos to help educate and inspire awareness and action around land and water issues, including Source Waters: The Rivers That Shape Us . But we still have much to accomplish, and we need your help to go even further and continue our work in 2022!

Your contribution plays a vital role towards building an enduring legacy of healthy waters and lands and prosperous communities in central Alberta. As a registered charity, the RDRWA relies on donations from people like you, as well as major funders, to help us deliver on our core programs. All of our fundraising dollars go towards helping the RDRWA’s efforts to keep our watershed healthy, sustainable and dynamic. For every dollar you give to RDRWA, ATB Cares (Alberta Treasury Branch) will match it by 15% up to an annual limit of $5,000 per charity or $1,000 per donation. Just like a river, every drop counts.

If you are able to, we would love it if you could make a small gift ($10, $20, $50) to the RDRWA, please click here. Donations can also be arranged via credit card, money order, or cheque. A charitable receipt can be issued for all donations of $20 or more, upon request. For more information, please call (403) 340-7379 or email info(@)rdrwa.ca.

Regardless of whether or not you are able to give financially at this time, we appreciate your support of the RDRWA. If you are interested in becoming a member of the RDRWA (it’s free!), please click here. You will be the first to hear about upcoming news and events in our watershed. If you are already a member, thank you for your ongoing support!

Thank you again for considering giving a gift that benefits everyone – a healthy watershed! We are grateful for your support of the RDRWA this holiday season. Happy Holidays!
