Sneak Peek! Trailer for the RDRWA’s Watershed Film Released

The Red Deer River Watershed Alliance is thrilled to share the official trailer for our upcoming short documentary showcasing the diversity and beauty of our vast watershed.

Where does the water in our watershed come from? How much do we have? These are the types of questions this film explores, as the RDRWA talked to scientists, elected officials, and agricultural producers on location in diverse places across the watershed.

Directed by the talented filmmaker Eric Gonzalez in 2020, the documentary follows the waters of the Red Deer River from its true headwaters in the Skoki Valley of Banff National Park toward the Alberta-Saskatchewan border. Designed primarily for a municipal audience, the documentary provides essential context for those wanting to learn more about the landscapes, communities, and waters of the Red Deer River watershed.

The Red Deer River Watershed Alliance aims to use this film to spark broader discussions about watershed management with municipal decision-makers and other community members.
