Land Acknowledgement

The Red Deer River watershed spans the ancestral and traditional territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy: Kainai, Piikani and Siksika as well as the Tsuut’ina and Stoney Nakoda nations and the Métis Homeland.  We gratefully acknowledge the traditional territory and ongoing presence of Indigenous Peoples and Nations within these watersheds and the land and water on which we all depend.
